The cookie we use
| Name | Where | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| plx_sid | Contact page only | Holds a random security token so the form can check that a submission came from this page, and limits repeated submissions | Until you close your browser |
The cookie contains a random identifier, not your name or contact details. It is set only on pages under /contact/, is marked HTTP-only so scripts on the page cannot read it, and is marked secure so it is only sent over HTTPS.
What we do not use
- No analytics cookies or analytics scripts.
- No advertising, retargeting or social media tracking pixels.
- No embedded maps, videos or chat widgets that set their own cookies.
- No fonts or scripts loaded from other companies' servers.
Other things stored on your device
The brief builder works entirely in your browser memory and does not save your answers to your device unless you choose to download the text file it creates. Closing the page clears your answers.
Why there is no cookie banner
UK rules require consent for cookies unless they are strictly necessary for a service you asked for, or fit one of the narrow exceptions introduced in February 2026. The contact page session cookie is strictly necessary for the secure form you choose to use, so no consent banner is needed. If we ever add analytics, we will update this page first and give you a simple way to object or refuse.
Our guide to cookies after the Data (Use and Access) Act explains the current rules for small business websites.
Controlling cookies
Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies at any time. If you block the session cookie, the contact form will not be able to verify your submission, but you can always email hello@plumborixa.site instead.
Questions
Email hello@plumborixa.site with any question about cookies or privacy. Our privacy notice covers how we handle personal data more generally.
