What the guides are, and are not
The guides on this site are general information for UK plumbing and heating businesses about websites, marketing and the rules that affect them. We research them carefully, cite our sources and date every update. They are not legal, tax or professional advice, and they cannot cover every situation.
Laws, regulator guidance and platform policies change. Before making a decision with legal or financial consequences, check the current position with the relevant source, a solicitor, your local Trading Standards service or another qualified adviser. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss arising from reliance on the guides without that check.
The brief builder
The brief builder runs in your browser and creates a text file from your answers. We do not receive or store what you type. You are responsible for the accuracy of the brief and for who you share it with. You may use the brief with any designer.
Using our content
The text, design and code of this site belong to Plumborixa unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to read, print and share links to our pages, and to quote short passages with a link back to the source page. Please do not copy whole guides or large parts of them onto other websites, or present our content as your own.
The fonts used on this site are licensed under the SIL Open Font License. Third-party trade marks, such as the names of regulators, schemes and platforms, belong to their owners and are mentioned only to describe them accurately.
Links to other websites
Our guides link to regulators, official guidance and other sources so you can check what we say. We are not responsible for the content or availability of other websites, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the linked site.
Illustrative examples
The website layouts on our examples page and in mock-ups across the site are illustrative concepts drawn for this website. They are not client sites, and any businesses they describe are hypothetical.
Web design projects
If you ask us to build or change a website, we send a written scope describing the work, timeline, price and payment stages. That scope and its accompanying agreement govern the project. Nothing on this website is an offer to supply services on particular terms until a scope has been agreed in writing.
Availability
We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors. We may change or remove content at any time.
