Read moreHow these guides are written
Every guide is written by Alex Morgan, who edits this site. Where a guide states a legal rule, a regulator's position or a statistic, it links to the source, and each source is listed at the end of the page with the date it was checked. Regulators and official bodies come first. Where we rely on a secondary source, such as a law firm's summary or a news report on official data, the source list says so.
Guides are reviewed when the rules change and at least once a year. The date at the top of each guide shows when it was last updated. If you spot something out of date, email hello@plumborixa.site and we will check it.
These guides are general information for plumbing businesses, not legal advice. For decisions with legal consequences, speak to a solicitor or your local Trading Standards service. Our editorial policy explains how we research, check and correct content.
A note on our interest
The owner of this site has commercial interests in web design services, including the services described on this site. We write the guides to be useful whether or not you hire us, and they recommend cheaper or do-it-yourself routes where those make sense.
